ACCESSIBILITY
Accessibility Statement
We want LifeTap to work for everyone. Here's what we're doing to make that happen.
Last updated: April 2026
Our commitment
LifeTap Ltd is committed to making its website and mobile app accessible to the widest possible audience, including people with disabilities. We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA.
This statement applies to the LifeTap website (https://lifetap.uk) and the LifeTap mobile application.
What we've done
We've taken the following steps to make LifeTap accessible:
Semantic HTML
We use proper heading hierarchy, landmark regions, and semantic elements throughout the site. This means screen readers and other assistive technologies can parse the page structure correctly.
Keyboard navigation
All interactive elements are reachable and operable using a keyboard. Focus indicators are visible so you can track where you are on the page.
Screen reader support
We include alternative text for images, ARIA labels where needed, and proper form labelling. The platform has been tested with VoiceOver (macOS/iOS) and TalkBack (Android).
Colour contrast
Text and interactive elements meet WCAG 2.1 AA contrast ratios. We don't rely on colour alone to convey information.
Text sizing and spacing
The site respects browser text size settings and works at up to 200% zoom without loss of content or functionality.
Known limitations
LifeTap is a young product and we're still improving. We're aware of these current limitations:
- Some older content may not yet have complete alternative text for all images
- Certain animations in the mobile app may not respect reduced motion preferences in all cases
- PDF documents linked from the platform may not be fully screen-reader accessible
We're actively working to fix these issues. If you find something we've missed, please let us know.
Reporting accessibility issues
If you have trouble accessing any part of LifeTap, we want to hear about it. Please email us at info@lifetap.uk with:
- A description of the issue you encountered
- The page or screen where it happened
- The device, browser, or assistive technology you were using
We aim to respond within 5 working days and resolve issues as quickly as possible.
Enforcement procedure
If you're not satisfied with our response to an accessibility issue, you can contact the Equality Advisory Support Service (EASS) at equalityadvisoryservice.com.
The Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) is responsible for enforcing the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) Accessibility Regulations 2018. While LifeTap is not a public sector body, we hold ourselves to the same standards and welcome scrutiny of our accessibility practices.
